MY STORY
moth3r - a journey beyond sound
For MOTH3R, music has never just been a career - it’s been a calling. Raised on rhythm and shaped by real-world experience, her journey weaves together creativity, care, and an unshakable sense of purpose.
Before stepping fully into her artistry, she spent years working in social care and mental health -fields that deepened her empathy and sharpened her voice. But music was always in the background, pulsing like a heartbeat - an act of healing, resistance, and expression.
Her live performance roots were forged with the collective M9 AWAKENING, where she brought her signature energy to festivals like Boomtown, Landed, Focus Wales, and Shindig. These weren’t just shows - they were rituals, merging spiritual depth with raw lyrical presence.
Determined to refine her craft, she returned to education to study music at the University of Westminster - following in the footsteps of alumni like Dua Lipa, Dev Hynes, and The Kooks. She completed her degree while pregnant and navigating new motherhood, balancing lectures with lullabies, production deadlines with naptimes. That same year, her skills as a producer earned her a placement on the BBC series Boarders (Season 2), under the mentorship of Mykaell Riley (Steel Pulse, Beyond the bassline).
Now, with the release of her debut EP Ritual Retribution, MOTH3R emerges fully formed. The self-produced, genre-bending project channels ancestral storytelling through hip-hop, operatic soul, and cinematic sound design. Each track is an initiation - into identity, transformation, and the power of the feminine voice.
From community work to creative command, from motherhood to musical mastery - MOTH3R is not just redefining what it means to be an artist. She’s rewriting the entire story.
